Position Overview

A Substation Inspector is required to visually inspect the condition of High Voltage substations and associated apparatus. This can include the fence, gate, access and egress, the management of vegetation, signs of vermin and infestation. Building construction including doors, windows and ventilation and the condition of switchgear, transformers, cables, battery and charger units etc. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and produce client reports on the findings identifying any defects and remedial actions or works required
  • Manage, plan & implement delivery of substation inspections to time frames required
  • Drive and accomplish customer service standards
  • Mitigate risk
  • Meet business requirements in performance, H&S, quality, cost and environmental compliance
  • Where required succeed in bringing together internal and external stakeholders ensuring we meet the customers expectations

Essential qualifications & attributes

  • A relevant electrical qualification would be desirable
  • Experience in the high voltage electrical industry would be desirable
  • Clean driving licence
